Mr. Saeed Ghobash is the Chairman/ CEO of Ghobash Group.
He has held several ministerial positions in the UAE government until 1997.
Prior to that, he was the UAE ambassador in Lebanon and USA.
He was also the chairman of Commercial Bank of Dubai Board of Directors until 2018 and the Chancellor of United Arab Emirates University until September 2020.
Mr. Ghobash holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of Cairo.
Nawwaf Ghobash is the Vice Chairman of Ghobash Group.
He has a proven track record of working across multiple industries, with strong skills in negotiation, budgeting, business planning, and strategic planning.
Nawwaf holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management from the UAE University.
Rashid Saeed Ghobash joined Ghobash Group as Managing Director in February 2024 and is also a member of the Group’s Board of Directors.
He oversees operations and leads strategic planning and transformation efforts across core sectors.
Rashid was previously Executive Director at Bayan Investments and served at the Abu Dhabi Department of Finance, engaged in government debt strategy, capital markets, and stakeholder engagement.
He holds a B.S. in Business Administration (major in Finance) from the American University of Sharjah.
Hasan Metla joined Ghobash Group as Group CFO in July 2019 and became Chief Executive Officer of Aban Investment in December 2021. He has extensive experience in financial management, strategy consulting, venture capital, and mergers & acquisitions. Hasan holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania, and a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering (with honors) from Carnegie Mellon University.
Nauman Asad leads financial strategy and management as CFO of Ghobash Group. A seasoned expert in corporate finance, strategic planning and operational optimization, he drives investments, value creation and performance. With a strong commitment to governance, he delivers strategic insights and fosters resilience by aligning financial operations with long-term business goals.
Davide Iebba joined Ghobash Group as Chief Investment Officer in March 2025. His background spanning family offices, fund of funds, investment banks, and board directorships delivers extensive experience in portfolio management across equity, fixed income, and alternative asset classes, as well as M&A, ECM and corporate valuations. Davide holds a BSc in Economics and Finance and a Master's Degree in Management from Bocconi University, alongside investment certifications from Wharton and Columbia. He’s also a CAIA Charter holder.
Dina Fares joined Ghobash Group in October 2022 as Director of Strategy and Corporate Development, leading the company's long-term strategy to drive sustainable growth through organic initiatives and M&A. She oversees strategic advisory, market insights, and corporate development to support the Group's investment and operational goals. Dina holds an MBA from IE Business School.
Brett Preston joined as Ghobash Group’s Chief Human Resources Officer in November 2024. With corporate roles across international and regional conglomerates, Brett has vast experience in organisational development & performance, talent management, and developing HR centres of excellence for large scale corporate growth and transformation. He holds a Master of Management, plus several post graduate business certifications.
Marko Topovic joined in April 2024 as Ghobash Group’s Group Chief Technology Officer, overseeing all digital and technology affairs. His career spans over 18 years of experience across various industry sectors, focused on effectively managing complex IT ecosystems, optimizing operations with emerging technologies, and developing strategic solutions that drive business growth. He holds bachelor’s degrees in law, as well as business and industrial management, alongside key industry certifications.
Tony Hamad joined Ghobash Group in September 2022 as Group Marketing Director. He leads the Group’s marketing, branding, and communications efforts with over 17 years of diverse industry experience, focused on ensuring impactful outcomes which support the Group’s broader strategic growth plans. Tony holds an MBA with a focus on Marketing from Middlesex University.
Naveed Ashraf serves as Ghobash Group’s Group Finance Director. With extensive expertise in finance strategy and transformation, M&A, performance management and corporate governance, he has worked primarily with leading regional conglomerates, following a foundation-building run spanning a decade at Deloitte and RSM International. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAEW), a Fellow ACCA Member and holds an MSc degree.
Maher Barghouti joined Ghobash Group in 2012 as Head of Legal, managing the legal function across multiple jurisdictions. He specializes in corporate, commercial, and contract law, with 20+ years of diversified legal expertise. Maher holds a BA in Law and is a member of the Jordan Bar Association and other international legal bodies.
